We are huge believers in planning for success. Our staff are equipped with bike maintenance tools, first aid equipment and knowledge to help out for any situation we may encounter out on the trails. Here's a check list of everything YOU need to think about before you send your child out for a ride.
WHAT TO BRING:
A mountain bike- tires pumped, mechanically sound working order and ready to rip! Scroll down and check out our Bike Maintenance Check List
A properly fitting helmet with the chin strap snug!
A water bottle
Clothing appropriate for biking, movement and sweat. Remember that loose pant legs can get caught in the chain. Elbow, knee, and chest padding are not mandatory, but is something you may want to consider.
Riding shoes- 'Real' biking shoes (approx $80-120) are a game changer when it comes to control and grip, but if you're not ready to invest , a flat pair of skate shoes are a good second best. Make sure the laces are short, or they're tucked in.
Some snacks- quick, easy bites are best. Remember to bring nut-free snacks!
Spare clothes for a weather change.
An extra tire tube that fits - not necessary, but good to have!
