Head Coach / Program Director
Born and raised in the Columbia Valley, Joelle proudly calls these trails home. Looking back, the lessons she's learned through riding her bike have taught her a lot about who she is and the type of person she wants to be. Mountain biking can really teach you about your limits and what it takes to push past them. Joelle has many years of coaching experience and a multitude of certifications to teach biking, gymnastics, freestyle and alpine skiing. Her connection with kids and passion to teach them just about everything she knows about sports, safety, living a healthy lifestyle and giving it everything you've got, doesn't go unnoticed. She says "It's best feeling in the world to be able to share your passions, especially kids. Hopefully they walk away from something you taught them with a strong memory and something that positively impacts their life for years to come."
A true BC Boy: Born in Nelson, raised on the coast of Northern B.C. and spent 5 years in Williams Lake. 2 years ago, Nate moved to Invermere, and hasn't looked back. Being a full-time Electrician means the time that he gets to spend outside on his bike feels like a gift that's never taken for granted. He's come to understand how important the exposure to biking is at a young age. He believes that riding frequently has helped his confidence not only on his bike, but also in his life. Every ride builds the skills for the next ride. Nathan is now looking forward to share his time with the kids of the valley, fostering them as people and as mountain bikers. He speaks with understanding demeanor, quirky jokes and he won't hesitate to stress that good things take time. Consistent practice is the key to success.
Luke Partridge Lead Coach
Luke comes to us from the UK! The search for outdoor exploration and education have brought him to British Columbian mountains. At a young age, he started white water kayaking, skiing and mountain biking. His passions have driven him to become a highly certified kayak guide, ski instructor and now, bike coach! In the winter, he works at Panorama as a Level 3 Ski Instructor, and in the summer as a Bike Park Patroller. Luke has a keen thirst for knowledge about athletic development and sports psychology. He's our innovative idea box and an energizer bunny, spurting with lots of fun ideas to keep the kids rolling, engaged and entertained.
Solly Kirk Youth Coach
Solly grew up in Invermere skiing and biking as much as he possibly can. He's an all around good guy, with a watchful eye over the youngsters and will lend out a helping hand any day of the week. We are very lucky to have him on our coaching team. You'll often find Solly at the skate park on his BMX, pushing and testing his skills on the daily. It doesn't matter what you put him on: BMX, downhill bike, scooter, yogurt spoon or pogo stick, he'll try to do some sort of sweet trick on it. He competes in freestyle and freeride skiing and is no stranger to getting funky and stylish when trying new things. Sol is stoked to coach the kids and teach them how to shred their bikes, get creative and enjoy the ride
Jack Kolesch Youth Coach
When you put Jack's bio right next to Solly's, you could definitely write similar things about them, given that they're good friends and ride together all the time. Jack started biking before he could walk, and has dedicated a lot of his time into Enduro and Downhill riding, competing in races, developing his skills and his style. Jack loves doing anything that involves movement and athletics. When winter rolls around, you'll find him ski racing, in the park, or spinning off cliffs at big mountain freeride comps. Jack is a great asset to the team as he has a natural understanding of the athletic process and what it takes to conquer your fears, stay focused, positive and happy with your efforts. He's a natural leader and sets a good example for us all to follow.
